Deciduous, the leaves emerge in early spring, flowers emerging in spring through early summer. It took a while to dawn on us that this plant, counter to our intuition, likes bright sun along with rich soil and consistent water. Definitely worth the effort. USDA Zone 5. HARDY GROUND ORCHID
