I would be fascinated to see how Vengevine stacks up against Mother of Runes and Serra Avenger or Goblin Lackey and Gempalm Incinerator, but my impression is that decks with green one-drops have never been that great against fair creature decks without some sort of over the top finish, whether its a reanimation effect or a Natural Order or something else that puts a huge board-defining creature into play
